Recreational Cyclocross and Gravelbiking This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like :The Dirty Kanza". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Which tire?

I need new road tires for my cross bike. I'm trying to keep it relatively affordable also. It is probably down to two choices:

Forte Metro K:

Forte Gotham:

I had the Metro K's on a previous single speed and it was a good tire even on some light trails. The Gotham looks good to me due to being a little more beefy for rough roads which are quite a few around here in PA. Any recommendations?

Serfas Secas aren't bad. I used them on my old fixed gear, and they did well in gutters and the crap roads around Sacramento. Personally though, I'd save the money and get some Continentals.

I got some Club Roost Terra Cross's. About to be tested this weekend!

Given the choices and the fact you'd use it for cross (might be a wet day right?), I'd go with the Gothams. Good price!
