Any ideas on a CX bike for me?
I mainly want to use it as my commuter, winter trainer, 3 -4 day touring bike. There is a slight chance I might try cx racing. I want to keep it under $2500 for a frame and fork. I was looking at the Lynskey Cooper CX. Any other ideas or thoughts?

Sounds like racing is a the bottom of your list. Get the Lynskey touring frame and fork and race it on occasion. 3-4 days on a bike is very different than 45 min.

A tight geometry cross frame under full load will spread and be more comfortable on a tour.

I have a Ridley X-Fire and I love it for cross but riding it on the road is not so good. Just saying that is not the bike you want. Whatever you do get though maybe building it with SRAM Apex...? What do you guys think?

You might want to check out the pics and build list I just posted of my Lynskey Cooper CX build over in the commuting forum. (Sorry the links don't seem to be working, it's posts #7619 & 7634.)
