Recreational Cyclocross and Gravelbiking This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like :The Dirty Kanza". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Good CX rims?

I'm looking at these:

I bent my rear rim today (probably hit a curb trying to jump it) and so now I am looking for an affordable, lightweight set of rims that are strong enough for CX (maybe not curb jumping).

Think these will be a good choice?

The Fuzion F1's are more than half the price and only ~200g heavier.

The Fuzion are probably a better CX choice. They're most likely built off of a Kinlin 270 rim, which is reasonably strong. Honestly, I don't know that I'd go with either of these choices if you're going to really be racing cross, though. Both of them seem a little low on spokes. I'd go 24/28 on spoke count if you could.

I'm using the same rims with a powertap system, and they are great.

A little wider rim is a great thing for cross, as your tire will have more volume/compliance/traction.

How much do you weigh? What level do you expect to compete at?

why not just replace the rim on your existing wheel ,
instead of buying a new wheel set ?

or are you considering getting a 2nd, race only wheel set?
