Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

comments on Cannondale cyclocross bikes?

I'm pretty sure that I'm gonna be getting a 05 Cannondale Cyclocross bike, I can get them at close to wholesale price but I'm willing to spend the extra cash if they're crap. I'm not too thrilled on the component set since it's mostly tiagra but that can always be upgraded, I love the paint job and the carbon fork, anyone have any opinions on this. It's basically between this or if this is crap then most likely a Redline Conquest Pro but I'll have to take out quite a bit more money.

Also, I noticed that the 04 cannondale cross bikes had cannondale SI frames and the new ones are Optimo, anyone know the difference?

You trying to prodeal one too? I just ordered one, don't know if Cannondale is gonna do the sale though...the paint on it looks rather cheap up close-not too smooth, and the decals look as if they were put on over the clear coat (bumpy). I'm not too much of a fan of the wheels either...but the price is right and I should be able to sell mine after the season to pick up a much sweeter ride

I just finished building up a 05 Cannondale cross bike....i guess since every componant I picked myself, I cant answer every aspect of your question, but the frameset is very very well built. I highly recommend Cannondale
