    Paul's components: worth it?

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I was just looking at some of the prices on Paul's stuff and they're waaay high. Has anyone tried them and found that they're worth the cost? Especially -

    - The Neo Retro brake and CR720 are very similar. The CR720 even has a little more adjustability? Has anyone tried both? Has anyone had fork flex problems with either and had to fit a a brake booster?

    - A single Paul's interrupt lever costs twice what a pair of Tektros sells for. Again, has anyone experience of both?

Pauls components...made in the USA CNC'd goodness. I've had their cross levers since 2003 and they are still as good as new. The new ones are even better with the hinge as mine are the originals that will only fit 26.0mm bars. I think I paid $80-90 for them back then. I'd buy them again as I really like the feel of the lever. Definitely got the bling factor too.

I have a single paul lever on my fixed gear. I only bought it because it can be used with v-brakes. it works great and I wish I had bought both levers when they were on c-list. No experience with any other parts, but I really like my cr720 brakes. I have some fork flex with a carbon fork, but when the pads are properly aligned I have amost none.

Only Paul components I have are Paul touring cantilevers and Paul Moon Unit(for straddle cable). Really HIGH quality. The springs they used for these canti's are STRONG. I recently got them so I can't tell you too much...so far so good. Coming from El Cheap brakes, these things are SOLID. I like how there is virtually no play in them.

I've got paul high flange hubs on my fixed gear and I have to say they are pretty awesome. I've had them for probably a year and a half with no problems, and rode them through salty new england roads this winter. Whether they are worth the extra is anyone's guess, but if you get their stuff you certainly won't think it feels cheap or anything. On the stand the front wheel spins forever. Cost-wise, it is quite a premium over other stuff, but it does just have a certain awesomeness to it and feels satisfyingly solid. I just bought the cross levers for a new build because I really like the solidness and made in america factor.

I have a Paul WORD SS disc hub, I am very impressed by it. There prices are very fair with awesome quality. Paul's stuff is probably easier to service then even Hope hubs.
