Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Your location says: "Born and raised, Eugene, OR, now stuck in suburban Californian pavement hell". Are you calling PA pavement hell? I hope you're not serious!

Palo Alto next to 101 or parts of El Camino, among other places is all paved over. Parts of the peninsula along 101 is a seventy five mile strip mall.

But it's only a couple miles to the west and you're out of town completely with no malls or traffic lights for miles and miles.
