The one review on Nashbar's website says it weighed 25 out of the box. However, I'm pretty sure I read on bikeforums (unless I misunderstood the post- I can't find it on a search) that the person who wrote that review hadn't actually bought the bike- he had just written the review to generate interest in the bike (or something). It made me question the review. Anybody else remember that?

I just called Nashbar to ask for the standover on the 58. They said it was about 82cm. My Fuji CC is about the same and I'm 6'1 with a 32" inseam.

I've got to say, $653 would be a good price just for the basic components. If I were in the market for a 105 groupset, I'd be ordering this bike.

Count me in, had a similar thought. Just ordered mine. Probably the best deal I've seen on a new bike with 105. Rock on. I may be selling my 2010 Fuji CC, we'll see! Timm357, good luck not backing over it! At least it's steel, right?!

If there's a warehouse or retail store in your state, you get to pay tax. Good times! And shipping, well, you have to expect to pay that. $13 is a great price for shipping a bike if you ask me. Time to go ride!

mine's on the fedex truck out for delivery...exciting times.

Got the bike getting it setup, this canto brake thing is driving me nuts. Need to learn to adjust this. Only one side is pulling in it seems

sounds like you need to change which holes on the canti mount the springs are in. It can be a pain at first to get it figured out. Heck it can be a pain later on too.

Estimated at about $90. They usually come in less than their estimates, though. Either way, the sale price makes it all good. I can change tubes and clean chains but readily admit I'm no mechanic. I'd be worried about something being wrong and causing an accident or premature part failure. The price includes giving everything a long look and test, adjustment, lube where necessary, parts under $10, ensuring wheels are true, and a fit. I totally trust these guys, they are good people. Ride safe!

i was playing with the little bitty set screw on each side of the brake to increase/decrease spring tension...is that the proper way?

the set screw will give you some, but there should be 3 holes on the canti mount on the frame. The end of the spring will go into one of them, but often if you move it to one of the others (either down for the side that's too strong or up for the side that's too weak) you can get a lot of gross adjustments taken care of and then you can do the finer stuff with the centering screw.

Yeah, I do believe it is an excellent value, even with the LBS tweaks. I will be excited to get some miles on her and see how she feels. Doing a short cancer ride tomorrow (Tour de BBQ in KC) with my young nephew. Will put her through some serious paces on Sunday. Good luck with your set up, Foo.
