Winter Bike build

I just purchased a 2008/ Redline Conquest pro frame and fork and am considering options on components. It will be used a commuter/winter/ street group riding and probably will not see any off road except trails. I currently have a 93 Trek 920 that I built up as a fendered road bike with drop bars and a 9-speed Tiagra group, brifters and frt derailleur and a deore rear derailleur, using an old Sugino AT triple crank that I'm using as a double with a 48/36 set of rings. I can set this crank up as a triple if I want, not sure I see the need. I'm thinking of moving all of those components the the Redline, I have a good set of wheels, but I'm wondering about brake options. I'll eventually build the trek back as a mtn bike for one of my kids, so I'm leaving it's stock brakes on it. Really consider the mini v, probably the Tectro BMX one, but I'd appreciate some feedback.

thx,

Were did you get the frame? I wanted to get a frame set from Redline (conquest classic), but I was told that they don't sell frame sets.

'011 Conquest Classic is their disc brake steel one, the rest are Aluminum.

You can get the frame and [carbon] fork separately for those ,

(just get the whole bike if you want the disc brake steel frame/fork one)

Paul's Neo retro , and Touring cantilever are good+, made in California. :thumb:

TRP EuroX is a 'borrowing' of the Empella 'froglegs' a NL design, taken to Asia.

Red Line had their own Cyclocross cantilever made.. Seattle Bike Supply.

Ridley is another CX bike maker with a nice cantilever design,
QBP is now Ridley's distributor.

Cross being popular these days there are many suppliers of the stuff
to fill out the starting field's bikes. all good..

Actually I wanted the steel frame set for disc brakes. It sounds from your post that this frame set is not available?
