Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Cyclocross: Wafflecross (Video)

This was a wonderful course that I had little bit of trouble navigating. Let's just say I found the dirt a couple times. I ended up on my side three different times and twice on the same corner. From what I'm told, the Sunday races were a crash on every corner because of the rain and mud.

Congratulations to those who organized this event, it was fabulous.

I managed to catch a handful of crashes in this race including my own. No one was hurt to my knowledge although I have some tender ribs. :-)

Nice vid! You know, right before you went down the first time on that left turn, I was thinking, "that line probably isn't going to work out...". I think that's inspired me to see if my buddy will let me borrow his gopro so I can run two cameras. I guess for three I just need either more cameras or more friends.

You should have seen it Sunday. We don't get mud as often as many other places, (high mountain desert) so when we do, its crash-fest galore. From what I could tell, many DNFed because they couldn't even make one lap around w/o splatting. I went down at least three times, one of which could have made any highlight reel.

Great vids. again Chris. This time you didn't catch me eating sand. I'm the guy coming up behind and passing on your left right before the first assault up the hill. I wanted to be clear because I knew a pile-up was in the cards.

It was a great race course and the folks at Eastside done good. Sorry to hear about the ribs, hope you can make to Kuna tomorrow.

Bill

Bikes: 1997 Giant MB, 2011 Felt Z85 Road Bike...and searching. Why didn't anyone tell me that when you get into biking you develop a sick need to own more & more bikes!?

Can't wait to get a GoPro myself - and document my first lesson - don't take hands off handlebars mid turn
