What's out there for ~1000?
Hello all,
If this thread doesn't belong here, that's fine, I'll delete it.
I'm in the process of tracking down a CX bike for about $1000. I'm looking for something 58cm or bigger. I'm also considering the option to build up something. So far I got wheels . Is now a good time to be looking for a CX? I have a bike I'm riding now, but not a CX, so I can wait a bit. I can wait for up to a year.
Oh what I'm going to use it for. This bike will be for just getting off road and possibly more. I'll be using it for some road riding. I won't be using it for racing. I'm ~245lbs and 6'3". I keep up with CL in three different sections of where I live
I wish you the best and look forward to all replies.

@Barrettscv, thanks for the links, I like the Nashbar bike the best out of those. I am going to my local Performance store and see if there's some kind of deal I work out with them on something. I'm in my shopping phase so doubt anything else will happen.
@tonyjaja, I'm keeping just about all options on the table right now. I'll pursue a DIY bike if that's what will evolve.
Thanks for the replies
