Recreational Cyclocross and Gravelbiking This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like :The Dirty Kanza". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Monstercross rims?

What do you recommend? Mavic A119, Salsa Delgado, something else? I'm currently running a temporary A319/Deore factory wheelset on my Cross Check but would like to have a purpose-built SS/FG wheelset with proper hubs. I weigh nearly 131 lbs, so that's not an issue.

Since you don't weigh a lot, you could get by with Delgados or Velocity A23 for just about everything you'd take "monstercross" bike on.

A23's with Surly Ultra New Hubs, All-City New Sheriffs, Paul singlespeed hubs, or any other 130mm or 135 singlespeed specific hubs would be great.

I've got A23's laced to All-City New Sheriffs (130mm spaced) on my singlespeed 'cross bike and at 170lbs, I take it on some pretty gnarly trails without issues.
