Recreational Cyclocross and Gravelbiking This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like :The Dirty Kanza". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Race in Virginia

Was wondering about a cross race in the Hampton roads area. Good for beginners would be nice. Have never raced before so would like to try.

VA Cyclocross Race Schedule:
http://vacyclocross.com/?p=301

VERY local to VB is Trashmore. Another course that is close is Bennetts Creek in Suffolk.
Trashmore has the hills that can make is painful (but thats part of the fun) and Bennetts Creek is flat but has some technical sections but nothing that beginner can't handle.
