    BB30 Conversion Bottom Bracket/ Cranks for Cyclocross

    Just picked up a frame with a BB30 BB shell. Can anyone recommend a BB30 conversion Bottom Bracket for Cyclocross? Also what are some decent but affordable Shimano or similar cranks for cross

    I was thinking one of these:

    Or should I just jump right in and start with B30 cranks?

    Well - I think that I will just convert it to threaded, since I have 2 sets of old-school Sminano 105 Hollowtech 1 cranks:

    Has anyone used these adapters (without loctite); then converted back to bb30 later?

    Just get a set of BB30 adapters and use what you've got. I have a BB30 frame and an old SRAM crank for a GXP BB. I bought a Wheels Manufacturing brand BB30-to-GXP adapter, and it works great.

    The BB30 shell limits the number of cranks that can be used. To use a Shimano crank, I used this adapter, see http://fairwheelbikes.com/kcnc-bb30-...et-p-2926.html ;

    I have about 2000 miles of use so far, it's been flawless.

    Yep, I got the same Wheels Manu adapter but for Hollowtech II for my kids bike so he could use 160mm cranks. Works great.

    From what I've heard the converters work fine.

    I have 2 BB30 cranksets sitting in my parts bin. One Cannondale and one FSA. PM me if you are interested.
