I've started putting mastik 1 on my toast in the morning.
I rode my CAAD10 through a massive, gummy mud hole yesterday (my drive train will never forgive me).
I even thought about running today.
Even looking to throw together some cheap barriers for practice.

Well, you know, I'm usually in the neighborhood of 200 pounds, but some of those guys are just huge so I don't want to be in the position of having to weigh myself with my shoes on to line up next to the big boys. Better to eat the cheeseburgers.

15 miles of singletrack yesterday, shoulders are a little sore today Road race on sunday, then I think it's very well may be cx bike for the rest of the year.

Base miles, lots of base miles only uphill. Then I plan to run in the mud wearing lead weighted shoes carriing a 50lb bar bell on my right shoulder.

Yep. I wired my road bike into my (ancient) computrainer on Sunday. It won't see pavement again until February. Until then, if I'm outside, I'm on my 'cross bike.

I have spent 4 different sessions, about 45 min each, struggling with a set of Hutchinson tubeless CX tires using my Cannondale's stock wheels-- which aren't tubeless ready. There were times I doubted it would ever work but after a lot of fun with a compressor and stans sealant, they're finally holding air.

...Maybe I'll open a thread just about it after I get some rides in on them. I have a Bulldog front and Piranha rear.

Too bad they are not UCI legal, too wide. I use the Piranha tubless for commuting and training. Great tires with super grip on wet pavement like I will have on my way home from work today.

UCI legal is not a concern for me at all. Are you a pro, or does Canadien amateur racing use UCI rules?

No pros in Ontario that I know of but the Ontario Cycle Association, (OCA), does in fact use UCI rules so the tires must not be wider then 33cm and the Hutchinson tubless are listed as 34cm. For insurance reasons most clubs in Ontario use the OCA.

Dang, that stinks. I mean I know it simplifies things, but there are many good 34-35 mm tires. Plus rated size isn't necessarily real size, especially on a wide rim.

I know cyclocross isn't MTB racing.. but sheesh, 33mm is restrictive. Many new cross bikes off the showroom floor aren't legal.
