Help me find some tires!

When I got my Specialized Crux Comp, I had the tires changed out with Bontrager 700 x 35 H2's I like the tread, and the tires ride fine, but I blew the sidewall out first ride, and now I had a puncture and cut from what may have been just rock salt on the road. So I'm looking for something TOUGH, but in a street tire. I do not offroad with it. I have Gator Skins on my Trek Madone, but they do not come in this large size.

I prefer a wire bead tire.

Any suggestions? Something like an H2 with Kevlar? Maybe made out of Kryptonite

How about the Vittoria Randonneur Cross? If you've got the budget and want a slicker tread, the Schwalbe Marathon Supreme is a nice tire. If you're willing to compromise weight and rolling resistance for sheer toughness, it's hard to beat the Schwalbe Marathon Plus.

Or you could just use 700x32 Gatorskins.

Thanks Andy. Those are all good looking tires. I like a little tread on this particular bike. I'll see if my LBS can get these.

I have Vittoria Randonneur Pros in 32 on my Jake, and they've done well. The Pros are folding, but the non-pro version is wire bead. The ones Andy suggested also look nice, as do the Randonneur Hypers. The entire Rando series seem to be pretty nice, actually.

Nokian tires are truck like.. Made in Finland.. they have additional tires , not studded.
though the studded ones are real good for when you need them.

conti travel contact is made to head off the paved highways 622 37..

Gatorskin sidewall mesh a feature ..
