Does a frame like this exist?
 

I found this picture on a mtbr.com post, and I keep thinking about it. It is a custom made bike by Ezra Caldwell of Fast Boy Cycles:

The Schwalbe Super Moto's are 26x2.35". Are there frames available with these characteristics: gently sloping top tube, lots of fork rake (I am assuming low trail), canti brake mounts and clearance for 60mm 26" tires ?

Taste is personal of course. You may find this hideous. But it really really appeals to me. Could I build a bike like this with an off-the shelf frame? I have looked high and low and cannot find anything.

The Rawland Sogn (not currently in production) is pretty close to that, but takes 650B wheels instead of 26". Some Kogswell P/R bikes were made for 26" wheels, but they are pretty rare.

Yeah, actually any old school mountain bike would hit most of your points, except for the low trail front end.

Are looking for a multi-speed bike?

You didn't mention a price-point but if you are looking for "off the shelf" and have a custom bike budget, the Rivendell Hunqapillar is close. But for the price, you could get a custom frame built.

Looks like a variant of the Bridgestone X-01. I think Handsome Cycles made something similar as well.

Yes, Handsome cycles sells the XOXO, which is a near exact replica of the 1993 Bridgestone XO-1, which was designed by none other than Grant Petersen, who owns Rivendell Bicycles, which I posted above.

The XOXO would probably be sportier than the Hunqapillar I posted given that it has road bike geometry (73/73 head and seat angles and 45 mm rake fork). The frame is pretty light (Reynolds steel) but I don't know how much tire clearance they have. I just bought a Handsome Devil framese which is basically the 700c equivalent of the XOXO but made with basic cro-moly (ie more metal and about 1 lb heavier). Coincidentalliy, the Devil shares the same geometry as the 1994 Bridgestone RB-T, designed by Grant Petersen! The guys at Handsome acknowledge Grant's influence on their bikes and they even communicated with him about the XOXO.

+1 on the old school mountain bike, try to find a vintage "Team" Yo Eddy made by Fat Chance (many with Campagnolo Record Icarus groupsets).

Thanks for all the info. There is a guy selling a Handsome XOXO frame on one of the local CL's. He claims that 2.4 tires won't fit, although they'd be close. I think I will go check it out.

An old school MTB, with lightweight steel and a high-rake fork would also work out well for a 26" wheel build. I'll keep my eye open. I would also really like to find a lightweight, mid-balance platform for the 29x2.4 Super Moto. Something like the Singular Gryphon in a lighter weight steel.
