Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

SRAM road hydraulic brake recall

Another one bites the dust.

I guess I will stick with BB7s until the dust settles.

Wow!

I've been using TRP HY/RD's for about five months. I had some problems when the weather turned cold, but nothing like that. My issue was just low fluid levels in the hydraulic chamber. After I topped it off, they've been great down to 20F (the coldest I've had occasion to try them).

On the other hand, I noticed Barry Wicks was using HY/RD's at the Cross Crusade race in Bend in October, but in a picture from this weekend's Deschutes Brewery Cup I saw BB7's on his bike, so who knows what might happen as you approach zero Fahrenheit.

Hmm so maybe Nys and the pros will keep winning races with mere cantilevers ,

while the engineers compete with each other making the gizmos that attract the money of the consumers.

I'm still losing races with cantilevers, but the discs are nice for commuting.

yea there is that thing about the it's not the bike that wins races , it is an athletic sport after all.

as long as it keeps all the engineers from going into the Armaments design,
by having something else interesting to work on, its good.

The BB7 SL's work just fine for me. I'll pass on the hydraulics.

+1 to SRAM for stepping up and recalling the product. Not all manufacturers would do that.
