My wife has bought stuff from Alibaba before; but from verified sellers - which this place is not.

Be prepared to throw the money away; but hope for awesomeness if it works out.

So You've Been there ?

I wouldn't be surprised if they farm out the work, broadly, several contract builders ,

to make a few different models , selling at various price-points ..

The fact that it's 1/3 of MSRP for a 2014 frame would give me some pause. There's a guy here in Oregon who's trying to get together some information about counterfeit frames, which that almost certainly is.

At a minimum you will get no warranty or post-sales service. You might get a knock-off made with the same process and the same mold in the same factory. You might get something else. It's hard to say.

I trust more an alloy knock-off than a carbon one. But there's no disc brake option so far.

The seller is Paypal friendly so at least it offers a buyer protection.

yes they just ship to retailers, you, as a consumer, are buying from one of their retailers.

they dont sell them there either here a copy of the brands of CX bikes soldSome companies take advantage of the computer chair warmers ,
and have an online Retail sales division, they take wholesale margin + the SRP.

The only item I saw when I used the 'Shop by brand' tool to look up Specialized products was a rear rack.

Figuring you're going to need something more substantial than "it's a scam", I went to the Specialized site and changed the country to Turkey (it's actually Turkiye) and used their Dealer search for every authorized joint that can handle any Specialized products within a 100 mile radius of Istanbul. Guess what? That firm in the email ain't listed. Proof: https://www.specialized.com/tr/en/dea...bul&radius=100

Turkish shop added the Alibaba, their trade name, Ali baba,& the 40 thieves, being a story of local origin

https://www.pitt.edu/~dash/alibaba.html

The"Specialized Crux Pro Carbon Disc 2014 Cyclocross Frameset", can be bought thru your local Specialized dealer

they will nail you for import Duty & GST any how . so you might as well pay retail for the Taiwan sourced frame from N American Brand Company. SBI is in The SF Cal Bay area.

It's the long way around, Vancouver BC is Much closer to Taipei..

Hate to say it, but you probably won't see your money again. The major brands prohibit online sales/mail order and if they want Western Union as payment, you know it is a scam. Paypal or credit cards you can file a dispute to get your money back, but not Western Union.
