Recreational Cyclocross and Gravelbiking This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like :The Dirty Kanza". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Who makes a cheap disc brake wheelset?

My wife wants a commuter bike with some gearing so thinking about building her something around the Civilian Le Roy frameset with SSCX Apex. I pretty much have an idea on all the parts but don't know who makes a cheap disc wheelset.

any 29er wheelset will work

What size tires are you looking to mount? Sub 28c on MTB wheels might pose a problem.

At the minimum 32c tires. So I don't need 700c wheels?

29er rims are 700c rims, some just wider than you'd find on roadie 19mm wide rim. 29er becomes 29er at 1.9" tires or larger to give the diameter.

You can get wheelsets made on wheelbuilding machines thru the wholesalers that supply most bike shops.

You want a disc single speed wheel, ask there. the LBS..

nobody is getting rich working in bike shops, but it's a job. like waiting tables minus the tips..
