Discovered a bad habit on my CX bike
I have a tendency to angle my foot and brace my right heel on the chainstay when negotiating obstacles and bumpy terrain or cornering on that side. I have recently noticed that my bike wears out the right side of the tires more/faster than the left side and that the rear end feels more "floaty" lately. My CX bike is aluminum and I am slightly worried that I have already done some damage. I don't see a kink in the tube but am going to clean up the bike and check for a crack somewhere back there.
I know where I developed this habit now I just need to break it. It's not a problem on my roadbike as I have zero float cleats.
