I saw a site that talked about a rough ride.

I've seen lots of cyclists enjoy cycling with their child in a carseat in a trailer in a manner to reduce chances of risk. Here in other parts of the world people cycle with much younger children with success, but its about a persons comfort level I'm sure.

Our current rides.

Sorry but a car seat, especially an INFANT carrier car seat, strapped to a trailer sounds very dangerous - for the simple fact that the carrier/seat wasn't designed to be attached to a bike trailer, nor was the trailer designed to have a child/infant seat strapped to it.

I think the usual minimum age for a kid trailer is 12 months old or something like that. The kid at least has to be able to hold his head up.

Well I've seen it done with success (even in America), personal choice. Just have to be aware and use some common sense as to where you ride.

+1 all kinds of opinions about this one. as for me and my family, the kids think bicycles are normal (since 4 months), and cry every time they have to get into the car instead of on a bicycle. who can blame them?

also: great pix of the kid Youaint...

Hello,
This is the setup we will take with us to Seattle:
Bulls MTB modified for street biking with a Kindercar carrier. This is a German carrier with a really good suspension.

Out on a family ride for Mother's Day. That bike stand has got to be the best $8 I ever spent on materials. Makes it soo much easier to get the trailer hooked up and kid secured inside.

I always get a kick out of seeing some one with a bike that cost more than my car using it to haul a bb trailer!

I notice that not many folk are using the carrier type kids seat, I bought one last week and took Mrs just under 2 for a ride on Saturday, Seems fine to me, Although the wife was not impressed when I went around the bridge and did a river crossing. (well, stream)

Whats the advantage of the trailer? Seems like hard work to tow to me.
