bottle holder on Trek 3700

I just got my daughter a trek 3700 and I have no idea where I can put a bottle holder on it. The area on the frame with the braze-ons is way too tight. Any suggestions?

I found an adaptor to put a bottle cage on the handle bar from Minora. Does anyone have any experience with this? I seems that it would have a pretty good amount of vibration on the handle bar.

I can't see why a handlebar mount would be any worse than a frame mount.

You might also look for side-entry bottle cages. That should require a lot less space. I also remember seeing some cages that allow mounting with a few degrees of rotation; that could help as well.

I have a Trek 2.1 spa and I have my primary water bottle mounted right on top of the top bar. Nashbar has an item which is just a couple of plastic clamps to mount a water bottle cage on any bar on the bike.

It's only $5 and I've been using mine for about a year. And the top bar makes it very accessable.
