Marin Redwood vs. Giant Cypress SX

I am debating between these two models:

Marin Redwood:
https://www.marinbikes.com/bicycles_2...s_redwood.html

Giant Cypress SX
https://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-US/...yle/600/28432/

For the most part I want a bike that is going to be comfortable and good quality. I like the Cypress a lot, but is that model really worth the $300 more than the Redwood? I know Giant makes less expensive Cypress models, but I am just trying to compare these two and decide if it would be worth the extra money for the Giant. Any recommendations? Or is there another, better alternative than either of these?

What did you decide on? I'm in the same situation.

I ended up with the San Anselmo (or last year's equivalent). I like it a lot. Very lightweight and comfortable.

I just rented a San Anselmo that even had disc brakes. From what I've seen they're pretty pricey, but I can't seem to find one with disc. Did you get a good deal?
