Trailer bikes

We would like to get a trailer bike for a 4-year-old. Does anyone have experience with these? Are they safe? Difficult to handle? What brand would you suggest (or avoid)? Thank you for any help you can offer us.

Type "TAB" or "trailer bike" or "trail-a-bike" (without quotes) in the "Search this forum" box. Plenty of threads asking the same question.

Basically the Burley Piccolo is king.

We purchased an Adams Trail-A-Bike Compact for our 2.5 year old off of Amazon.com. LBS couldn't get one in for another two months. I sawed off about 3 inches off the bottom of the seat post so he could reach the pedals. He has no problem reaching the handle bars and the pedals. We go slow due to his age and watch him in the mirror and have used it maybe 10 times so far. The TAB is stable and seems to work well so far. Our research shows that the Burley is the Cadillac of Trail a bikes, but this is a compact and hopefully he outgrows it soon.

I searched the forum under "trailer bike" and got bike trailers. I'l try the other terms you mentioned. Thank you. Sorry to waste your time.

I did not think you were wasting my time, I was merely pointing you to already available resources.

What I did find after retrying the search term is that the quotes will actually help. I somehow thought the BF search engine did not take quotes. "trailer bike" with quotes plus the other terms should get you there.
