Bike activities for kids!
So I'm trying to organize a city-wide bike day on May 16th. I want stuff for the kids to do:
-A bike race to see who can go the slowest without putting a foot down
-Attach a log to a bicycle and see who can pull it the furthest
-Scavenger hunt on the bike
-???
Any other fun stuff for kids to play on their bikes?

Get a bunch of stuff that the kids can decorate their bikes with--party supply stores have lots of good raw materials--and then after everyone has a decorated bike, have a parade. We had something like this in our city here last fall and the kids loved it.

Uber Goober
Obstacle course/ maneuverability course- set up orange cones or whatever- see who can ride the route without hitting anything.
A group ride. Couple of miles with traffic shut off.
Are you actually in Big D as in Dallas? I know Denton has had some stuff like this; you might check with them for ideas.

Bicycle soccer? - Well, might be a bit rough for younger kids.
Ride bike with two tennis balls in hand, ride within two lines while trying to toss ball into bucket a couple of feet to one side, then turn around and try the same thing (between the lines) going the opposite direction?
Obstacle course with traffic cones (same as post #3). Could be a timed event, subtract 10 seconds for each cone touched or whatever? Maybe split into age groups?
I like the parade idea. Maybe supply decorations and have judging?
