Illinois, Starved Rock

I'm going with some boy scouts down to Starved Rock this weekend. Rumor has it that things are still pretty wet down there. Has anyone been on the IM canal bike path recently? Is it open and ridable? Or, should we stay on roads?

Thanks for any info,
