Trek Trailer Hitch Problem...HELP!
Hi we are new to biking with a trailer. So I thought we'd buy a used one. We an 2005 Trek Doodlebug and it looked great. Took the Doodlebug out for a spin and the hitch connection to the rear wheel kept making our quick release loose. HELP! We tried it on my husband bike as well and the same thing happened. Are we doing something wrong as we followed the directions, or is there something wrong with the Trek trailer hitch? It made for an unsafe ride to say the least and ended up walking back to the car.

Thanks for the advice. We tried tightening it several times. It kept coming loose while riding although it was tight when we adjusted it. Does anyone have problems like this on the Trek trailer. I do have to say it was a mildly curvy trail.
Thanks
Thanks

We have a Trek Gobug, I don't know if the hitch is the same but when I put the trailer on the first couple of times with the pin pointed stright back it would twist the hitch down at a 45 degree angle and getting loose, so I left it at that angle and made sure everything was tight and it hasn't bothered since. Hope this helps.
