I'm a city boy who has a five year old and is hoping to give up using the car for commuting to work. I'm trying to get together the bucks to get a xtracycle and a suitable donor bike. I have a cannondale Mt bike but I'd rather try to avoid touching it. I like to leave that for my off-road adventures. Any suggestions on what types of bikes make the ideal choice for adapting for use w/xtra cycle

global.... if you haven't already, check out the xtracycle website. They have an extensive FAQ and a support forum. You can even download the owner's manual.
