My three year old changed his 1st bike tire tonight
Well, daddy may have helped a little, but the 16" wheeled Trek a friend gave us is ready to rock and roll with a new rear tire. He rode it around the basement a bit with my help and is demanding a set of training wheels. :thumb:

He'll have a career as a bike mechanic, not a cyclist - look what you've started.

Awesome !
My daughter started helping me lace wheels when she was 8 and prefers to do all her own mechanical work (with dad doing the checking of course). Training wheels are something I don't advise... it would be better to remove the cranks and turn that Trek into a push bike as then your son will learn to balance far more quickly and make a smoother transition to riding on his own. |
