Does anyone have any knowledge of the terry liberator saddle.I have a trek 7100 with the stock webspring saddle that is very uncomfortable after 20 miles.The local LBS suggested the terry liberator gel.

No but the FireFly is great. The biggest dif in the Terrys looked to be the shape and how they fit you bum. The FireFly according to a bud has the widest prostate saver (for men) of the seats at the LBS. It is all in the feel.

I've been using a Terry Liberator (not gel) for the past year and I can't imagine riding on a different saddle - it is SO comfortable. However, what works for one doesn't work for all. My local bike shop let me do a test ride with the saddle and that's how I picked it. Maybe you can do the same?

i have a flite ti... a classic, widely loved seat..but i tried my friends Terry Fly today... WOW! talk about a liberator. it felt awesome on initial sit...

Each behind is unique and finding a saddle that fits can be a chore and sometimes very frustrating. I had several on my road bike before that part of my anatomy was comfortable. I wish you luck on your search. Myself, I switched to a recumbent after having trouble with neck, back and hands. Now NOTHING gets sore. And I'm as fast on it as I was on the road bike. My new Road bike came with a Terry Cite. I hate it. Looked it up turns out they put a hybrid seat on my road bike. Any suggestions for something a little more comfy and light?

I have a liberator on my touring bike and have never experienced any pain or numbness. I tried a standard Fly on another bike and liked everything but the plastic cover, so I bought a TI Race instead. I love the shape but it seems a little harder than the Fly. Does anyone have experience compating the TI Race and the Fly? By the way, the company is wonderful at backing their products and will give credit for trade ins to them.

Terry is a great company and taking a test ride is a great idea. The liberator will wear very slow and even, so the cost per mile is pretty small.

I have ridden with the Terry Liberator for years and actually have one as a spare so when my other one wears out I won't have to hunt one down. I think it is really comfortable even though it is a man's saddle. On our tandem I have the Terry Butterfly which took just a little more breaking in. If you can, find a bike shop, like Performance, that will let you try out the saddle for a short period of time and then if you don't like it you can return it and get something else.

I have a Liberator sitting in the garage right now. It was gorgeous on my comfort bike but when I switched to a touring bike it was extremely uncomfortable.

I've got Terry Liberators on both of my bikes (Airborne, Carpe Diem and Bianchi Cyclocross) and love 'em. I've tried bunches of other saddles but nothing else feels as good. Try one....you'll like it!

I had a Terry Liberator a few years ago. I was ok but not the best choice for me. The nose was too wide. Kept rubbing on my inner thighs. I traded it for a Terry Fly. Rode it for almost 2 years. Swapped it last October for a Selle Italia Gel Flite saddle.

Well I tried the liberator gel out.Did not like it,not for me apparantly.Both the mens and womens versions made my sit bone area flat out hurt after 25 miles.My latest test is a trico airflex elite,put 10 miles on it tonight and boy does it seem comfy so far.Might have found my next saddle.
