Bike recommendation

I am 6'1" and returning to doing a bit of bikng on flat ground, along ocean and river ****s along with some street riding. I have looked at the Jamis Explorer 2 which felt good, the Trek 7200 and the Norco Vermont. I would really appreciate any thoughts/recommendations of which would be the most suitable in comfort and ease of riding. The Trek 7200 seems to be the most expensive of them. The Navigator by Trek was also a possibility. I did like the slightly wider tires of the Explorer 2 and the Navigator's seems even wider.
