I installed a Curt 1-1/4" hitch on my Subaru Impreza. Unfortunately a 2" hitch was not available for my car.
I would like to know your opinions on the 4-bike racks available for 1-1/4"

From what I have seen:
1) The Allen 445RR requires a tether from the top of the rack to your car. Big Negative
2) The Thule 957 had some negative reviews relating to how it connects to your hitch.
3) Hollywood Racks 8100/8500 had many positive reviews.. what do you guys think.
4) There is a 3-bike Allen rack for 1-1/4 which was reviewed reasonably well, sold at Amazon for $70 buck with free shipping. I think the model is 332RR or something like that. It holds less bikes than I would like but is like $100 less than the Thule/Hollywood 4 bike racks... What do you think?

Unfortunately, nothing that fits 1-1/4" hitch seems to stand out as the all-around best rack with no shortcomings. So - which one do you like? My other thought is to spend the $70 on the 3 bike rack, and wait a few years for someone to come out with a better 4-bike rack.

Please opine! Thanks.

we have a Thule Hitching Post 4-bike. Only complaint is that the arms don't fold down.
