Action Cam video of 'for fun' ride
Okay - I couldn't figure out where else to post this, but I'm mostly curious: Does anyone else video their rides, whether for fun or in case 'something happens'? I got a cheap action cam to see what I could capture, rather than spending big bucks on a GoPro or similar. Sure the quality isn't up to the goPro, but it's okay. I plan to shoot my commuting rides, but my first test was a recreational ride, so I'm posting it here.
Anyway, I shot and edited a one hour mixed surface (road, improved trail, and single track) ride, compressed down to under 13 minutes so I thought I'd share it. Despite the camera being 'near HD' quality, I apparently messed up when I uploaded to YouTube, so it is more VGA than HD. Enjoy.

LET'S ROLL
I've used regular point and shoot digital cameras a lot for
my biking footage. Not only do I think the quality is equal
to the Gopros, Contours, etc.; regular cameras are much
cheaper with better still shots.
Filmed with a Samsung HZ30W using a Fotopro Flip Motion mount on the handlebars:

Uber Goober
I got a GoPro camera for Christmas, and have used it on a few videos.
One thing I will suggest for posting videos on the internet is edit 'em down to a minute or so. The reason is, I ride plenty myself, so I'll watch a 30 second clip of someone else riding down the street, but won't normally devote 10 minutes to watching some stranger ride down the street.
Here's a couple of my efforts with the GoPro:

The GoPro is really neat using the helmet mount. It's also waterproof (or has a waterproof casing.) However, the camera on the helmet mount does feel heavy, so it's not something I normally would wear the whole ride.
