Anyone with '2005 Trek Navigator 300

Hi, I'm looking to purchase a 2005 Trek Navigator 300 and I'd like some input from anyone that has one or can offer their opinion on whether it's a good choice. I only ride paved roads and I ride for short periods under 3 hours usually. Is this a quality bike for the money? It lists for $439.99. If another model or brand is better at this price range (350.00-450.00), then please help me decide. Thanks to all!!

This thread might help you to decide. Some good advice from Rich Clark. https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...+Navigator+300

Remember the thread is from 2002.

I recently looked at that bike vs. a Giant Sedona DX. I ended up with the Giant, but only because for me it was a more comfortable bike. I did like the shifters better on the 300. I'd say its a quality bike based on what I saw, but its just what is most comfortable for you.

Thanks for your input. I went to the Giant site and I liked what I saw. I found a Giant dealer in my area, and I am going to check out the Sedona DX AND LX models. I want to stay in the $350.00-450.00 price range. Any other recommendations are appreciated. Thanks again!!
