Chariot Cougar vs. Burley
My daughter is almost 10 months old so its time to start thinking about bike trailers. My wife also wants a jogging stroller so we are thinking about getting a 2-in-1 type of thing, and the burley and the chariot cougar both seem to fit the bill. We are looking primarily at 1 child carriers, but would consider a 2 child if they aren't too big for easily jogging with (for a 5'4" 130 lb mom). As far as I can tell the Chariot seems to convert more easily, but that as far as overall quality they are both fine products. I thought I'd ask if there are users of the Chariot that can comment about how they use their carrier. Everyone I've talked to that has a burley is mostly using it as a bike trailer, so if anyone uses their burley as a jogger, I'd like to hear the pluses and minuses of that too.
thanks.
thanks.

I have a burley delite that I only use as a trailer. I've seen others use it as a jogger but I don't think it's that great because the front wheel is so small. It might be a little wieldy for a smaller runner.
I've seen the Chariots and I think that's more multipurpose if you also want a stroller. Probably better as a stroller too. Remember that w/ these multiuse ones, you tend to compromise on features. As a result, we have a separate jogger.
I tend to find good used deals on baby stuff from craigslist, especially on sports gear like this. Lots of parents buy w/ high expectations, then realize their kids don't like 'em. Screams "cheap deal" to me. Got Kielty backpack, few years old but only used 2 to 3 times for $25. You can probably find a jogger cheap that way. Bike trailers are tougher to find though.
