Dismantling an Earth Cycles Dragon Flyer?

Hi everyone. I just scored an awesome Dragon Flyer and was wondering if anyone has had experience taking off the rear swing arm. It looks like the steel rod that goes through it should be able to be knocked out once the 3 securing locks have been loosened. I've whacked it a few times but don't want to do any damage, so I'm coming to you guys for some insight. Thanks

Just for the benefit of others on this forum, the question was answered over on BROL, by Pat Frantz, thusly:

Brian Hall, one of the designers of the Dragonflyer, lives here in Portland. He designs cargo trikes now (Truck Trike).

I emailed him to let him know there was a question on BROL and he asked me to post this as he isn't a member:

I'm not a member of that forum, but would you be willing to post the following?

Yes, the steel rod can simply be driven out with a hammer and long rod of smaller diameter than the one being pushed out. (Make sure the end of the steel rod on the trike is not mushroomed from being hammered). The rod fits through (and pivots on) bronze oilite type bushings that are pressed into both the main frame and the rear swingarm. Once the steel rod is pushed out, you can remove the swingarm from the main frame. You may notice the long tubes on the swingarm pull in towards each other when you remove it from the main frame. This means you may have to spread the swingarm tubes slightly to reattach it to the main frame.
