Any information about Adventure Cycles T-Trike?

I have been looking into buying a recumbent. There has one popped up on our local Craigslist site where someone is offering a one year old T-Trike from Adventure cycles for about half the price. I never heard about this brand before and I cannot find any detailed specs such as frame size(s), weight, load ratings, ....
Their website is anything but informative and has no details. I am not even sure it is actually the manufacturers website.
T Trike (Patent Pending) [T Trike] - $4,495.00 : Beyond Cycling !, Recumbent Trikes
Does anyone know where to find some more detailed specs on this bike? Or is this some brand to stay away from?

Thanks
Stefan

My husband purchase one of these model T trikes second hand 3 years ago. Adventure Cycles do charge an arm and a leg for their recumbents but we got it for about $3100 used. We never had any issues with it. It's almost 4 years old now and we just changed out the brakes but everything else is original to the trike. It takes all standard parts so upgrading would be easy but the Shimano equipment on it was already very good. We really purchased it because of the design of the folding frame and the feel of the suspension. The rear wheel and frame collapses directly under the seat and the seat folds forward. It's just a flip of a quick release bolt and a safety pin that's required. No regrets on the purchase. But this is our personal opinion from an actual owner. Below are links to some reviews and comments from other owners I found online (You will need to copy and past the links into your browser and replace “dot” with a period). I tend to trust opinions from other owners more than from someone who never owned one.

From that website: "Custom made for each of our clients ...We will need your height and weight in order to select the proper frame and seat size..."
That may explain why you can't find specs on it.

Gratidi RTVC-1070L ?

Does anyone have an opinion about a Gratidi RTVC-1070L? It's another rare trike you really do not see around. I saw one on eBay with a motor installed and it looks like it might work out for me.

Hi Harhir,
Adventure Cycles is DEFINITELY a brand to stay away from. The reason you cannot find information on the brand is that the owner changes brand names several times a year. Rider4ever12 could not have bought an Adventure Cycles T-Trike 3 years ago, because 3 years ago that model/brand did not exist. Then it was called Torisimos or TriTekno or Trivortek or Vortritek or Advantage Cycles or Advanced Cycles or Pro-Recumbents or any of another false brands. The 3 review sites he/she listed are faked reviews all written by the seller. These are $500 to $1000 Chinese trikes (ZZMERCK or Big Winner brands) imported, falsely represented and sold online at inflated prices. The Adventure Cycles website is a complete farce. They claim to have been the standard for 20 years, but nobody has heard of them except the poor unfortunate souls who have bought their stuff. One poor family came in a local bike shop hoping to repair some of the flaws on their Adventure Cycles trike they got from Craigslist but had to buy a different trike instead. The Adv Cycles trike had poorly aligned welds, missing bearings, and too much wrong to repair. Warn your friends. Do not buy this brand.

Reposting without link. (I think I am not allowed to link yet.)

FYI, The "Gratidi RTVC-1070L" on eBay is actually a Chinese ZZMERCK trike worth about $1000.
Google ZZMERCK and

Someone is trying to sell that Gratidi trike in several sites around the country, saying that he's ME. He's not me, I'm me. Craigslist refuses to remove the ad; but liars lie. I recommend staying away.

Back to the original question, I know nothing about the T-Trike. I've seen other ultra-low-volume makers and their quality can run the gamut from great to terrible. Buyer beware. Have you looked at the major brands? The T-Trike doesn't seem to have any stand-out features and is very expensive.

The CL ad is chock full 'o untruth. Amazing. I wonder if it is true that the frame is cracked?

I'm not sure he (?) even has a trike to sell. Several ads on CL and fleabay use the same wording and are for cities far apart. He can't live in all of them. Maybe it would be more accurate to say, "Scammers scam."
