He's having a bad day, every day, in every way, but it's really not about the bent. Some folks crave isolation I guess.

I suspect that other cyclists get "yelled at" just as much; it's this individual's attitude that makes the difference. This poor person has serious personal problems. What a shame...

Do not, repeat do not, ride a bent if you don't like attention.
I ride upright and bent. On the upright I'm invisible. On the bent, I'm a rock star.

I thought it was funny!
Now honestly if you lived in this guy's town and knew he wrote that wouldn't you go out of your way to piss him off just to see what he writes next?

If he's that nasty stoned, he had better stay away from alcohol. The bike does look pink in the right light judging from the photo. That's his fault. You gotta think of these things when buying a bike.
Maybe someone should tell him about the "Do 'bent riders get tired of people commenting" thread.

It would be really funny to follow this guy around and watch him get worked up. Might make a good short film "The Angry Recumbent Man" Or you could call it "A Recumbent Named Sue".

Rumor is, his wife/webmaster got trigger happy and bounced a guy for lighting-up a joint.... while he was at home, believe it on not, PMing his bent buddy. He denied it, but she said she could smell it on all his posts. And I just heard the other day, that LV, (whiskers) suggested to "B", to start asking all the members to bath before they logon.

He should have a ReBike instead. If he had a ReBike he would pass all the roadies and not have to listen to them yelling at him.

If he'd had a Rebike the only thing he'd pass is gas and only Alan would care.

One of my best friends rideas a tie dyed pink and blue recumbent. He also has a plainer colored yellow. Either way he gets yelled at. When I ride with him we get it almost every ride. When I ride alone I don't think I have ever been insulted more than just a couple times.
Where every we ride the bent draws attention.

I'VE NEVER LAUGHED SO HARD AT SOMEONE! I immediately hit the local bike trail in an attempt to locate this guy. I live near Seaside (CA.) and was wondering why I had never seen this guy before. Then someone pointed out to me that there is a "Seaside" in Oregon, (hence the reference to Portland, unless they meant Portland Maine) So I've stopped looking for him, but still haven't stopped LAUGHING!!!!!!
Also can't believe he doesn't already have "better weed", as he isn't too far from the famed "Emerald Triangle".
Funniest post I've ever read!
"Happy" riding to all,

I never get yelled at on my bent, but everyone wants to talk to me. For now, it's kind of neat being considered a tourist attraction.
I guess the novelty will wear off soon, though, and I'm sure I'll start ignoring people. But I don't think I'd get so steamed about it. Guy's got to be kidding...?
