Hello, I rented an ez1 last week and my wife rode the ez3. We loved riding bikes, but hated how uncomfortable they were. Imagine my excitement when we rolled out on the bents and were in complete comfort.
We went back the next day and she rode the ez1 and I tried the speedster. I liked that one even more, so after the ride we test rode some of the other bikes, Ater three hours on burleys, suns, bacchettas, and a catrike for good measure we couldn't decide on which we liked the best.
Then I realized we hadn't yet rode the bacchetta giro. One test ride later and we knew we found our bike. They should be in monday or tuesday. Can't wait to hit the comet trail and start to exercise those lungs.

I am also a new bent fan, and after weeks of research on the web (including this site -- thanks all) I spent two hours at a LBS (Snyder's in Bakersfield) and test rode my first bents! Because of the price point, I chose the Sun Speedster SX and upgraded the tires to 100 psi Primas (?). I will take ownership in a week and am already chomping at the bit -- I plan on riding it to work (36 miles RT) to save gas, $, and time in the gym doing boring cardio staring at TV -- give me the outdoors anytime! As a Harley rider, the riding position of the Speedster felt great from the get-go, even if I was a bit wobley.. :-)

Welcome aboard to both of you! KW, some folks don't like Primos because they are a bit suseptible to cuts, but I use them and like them a lot. They are probably the 3rd or 4th fastest tires you can get, give a great ride, are relatively inexpensive, and are more durable than any of the < only slightly > faster alternatives. I think you'll like them too.

Welcome to the world of bents. One word of advise regarding bent riding just so that you don't get discouraged. I can't speak for the bents that you purchased but I know when I first started riding any distance at all on my EZ-1 Supercruiser that I found that I got what felt like a pinched nerve in the lower back of my neck. I found that this was because I was gripping the handlebars too tightly while getting used to the different riding position. If you notice the same thing just loosen your grip on the handlebars a bit and that should clear things up and be much more comfortable.

Thanks! I noticed the very thing (griping to tightly) on my test ride -- have to admit that I felt very vunerable in that riding position, but it disapeared in a few minutes and was replaced by euphoria. That lasted up until I fell over trying to decide whether to turn or to stop! No big deal, falling over on a bent turned out to be just another selling point.
