Recumbent What IS that thing?! Recumbents may be odd looking, but they have many advantages over a "wedgie" bicycle. Discuss the in's and out's recumbent lifestyle in the recumbent forum.

I'm now a bent rider

After a lifetime of riding bikes I have come to the place in my life where I needed a more comfy ride to continue riding. I hurt my back in 2006, that put me off the bike for almost a full year. It was killing me to not be able to ride so I went out and bought a Sun EZ-Sport. I must say it's the coolest bike I've owned since my Schwinn Stingray back in the '60s. And it is so comfy I can ride all day with no bad pains (muscle pain is good pain to me). Anyway I just wanted to let you all know (for what it's worth) that I have joined the family/community/club...or what ever you call it, and I am glad to be here. Thank you very much.

You know how it is - nothing gets people smiling like seeing someone riding their bent and obviously loving it. All the cheerleaders working the rest stops on today's ride kept asking me if I wanted them to "hold my cool bike." I'm pretty sure that was code for sex, but I just couldn't tell if they were 18 or not!

Back on topic - welcome to the bent world! It's darned awesome here.
