Thank God for my neighbors.
The front derailleur cable housing for my Kettweisel was in the process of failing so I fixed it and made a couple of test loops around my condo. About an hour later my neighbor knocks on the door with my wallet. It obviously fell out of my cargo pants pocket while I was test riding the trike and I didn't even notice.
Normally when I ride I wear recumbent specific shorts that have zipper pockets. Then, all that I have to do is to remember to zip them.

That's cool. I once went to a drive through and left the wallet between my legs. I got out in a hurry because it was raining and it fell in the gutter near a friends house. A guy found it about ready to go down the drain and saved it for me. He had it all dryed out when I came by to pick it up. I saw he was an A's fan, so I bought him a couple of tickets to a game.

I always drop my wallet and cp in the frame bag as stuff in the pockets can work their way out when pedaling.
Speaking of losing stuff, during last tour I left the small, mesh bag containing my passport and some toiletry items on the rack pack. Thankfully, I heard the kit hit the pavement.

Two years ago I found and returned 2 wallets and a purse that was in the street. Last year I even found a bike bag with a new Apple laptop. The wallets and purse had over $2000 dollars in them.

It is good to know that people do care...in this sometimes 'its all about me' world. Glad you had one less thing to worry about.
