New Recumbent today
Heard so much about these I finally bought one. Got a Burley Koosah and just did 28 miles. Can't believe how good I feel and how fast that thing is. Usually I have a really stiff back and neck after riding my DF and it was as fast as my road bike! Wow what a nice ride. I'm 63 years old so need all the comfort I can get and am looking forward to lots of miles. I now see what you guys have been talking about.

I've had people borrow mine, and they did not regularly exercise or ride at all--and they'd stay out for an hour, an hour and a half, and come back with 10-15 miles on the computer.
Which is not real far or fast--but just the fact that they sat on it and pedaled for that long is significant.
They'd have never rode an upright bike for that long.
Some of these people had upright bikes they never ride, for just that reason....

Since riding my 'bent I have yet to have any kind of pain mentioned above associated riding where I did not have it before.

Pretty slick. After over 40K miles of faithful service, I am retiring my DF commuter. Below, you can see my new good and bad weather commuters:
