Recumbent What IS that thing?! Recumbents may be odd looking, but they have many advantages over a "wedgie" bicycle. Discuss the in's and out's recumbent lifestyle in the recumbent forum.

Kick Stand for EZ Sport

I just purchased a used EZ Sport CX and it needs a kick stand. What is the best one that will fit it and is there an online store where I can purchase it? We live in a small town with no bike shop. I do not even know what to look for. Thanks.

Does your CX have a mounting plate for a kickstand? If so, I think the best one you can get is the Esge Twin kickstand. Otherwise, a standard one will work.

The bad thing about regular kickstands is that the bike is long and the triangle formed by the two wheels and the kickstand is pretty narrow. You're walking the tightrope between leaning the bike enough so it won't tip over the other way, and leaning it too much. The double-legged stand is much more stable - plus it acts as a maintenance stand for when you're fixing a rear tire or adjusting your derailleurs.

A greenfield chainstay mounted kickstand works great on my EZ Sport AX. Hostel Shop online has them. bk
