Recumbent What IS that thing?! Recumbents may be odd looking, but they have many advantages over a "wedgie" bicycle. Discuss the in's and out's recumbent lifestyle in the recumbent forum.

rans force 5 enduro

ok guys, I read daily, but seldom post. I am in MN for a little RR and visited a couple of shops this weekend. I find what I appears to be the perfect commuter recumbent and all around fun looking machine.

Anyone have any experience with this model? I want to ride 9 miles each way to work, cruise the city, and maybe a dirt road or 2. I currently do the commute on a single speed, but my back is slowly aging and boy I would like some gears now and again.

Thought. I need to buy on Monday AM in order to get back to Nebraska to pick up the basset from the kennel - so this is a quick ride, buy, and run event. Normally, I would research for months, but price is good and time is short.

thanks, rod

That's not a problem with my Tailwind. If the F5 fits you, and the price is right, and the test ride is good, go for it.

Well, I did it and so far this bike rocks. I road the rocket and although it was real comfortable the orange Enduro drew me in. So far I have added my old computer, a sweet Danish lock on the NOT used front brake things (can't find the word). I love the tilting bars and Calhoun Cycles threw in the rack with the deal. Of course it helped that I also bought a swift folder for my son. I am a sucker for cool bikes. I will get a pic up later, but I am stoked to be part of the crowd. Next up is a seat bag and a water bottle mount (handlebars?).

I use a twofish bottle cage under my riser close to the bars. Not sure how that would work with F5 Enduro.
"a sweet Danish lock on the NOT used front brake things (can't find the word)". Does it have bosses for V-brakes?

I've got a custom Corvette Blue 2006 Enduro demo, standard size, with updated 2008 Avid BB7, Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires, aggressively priced with the accessories shown:
