More durable tires

I ride on mainly crushed limestone trails. I have Kenda Kwest tires on my EZ Sport. There are 20 and 26 inch tires on it. I have only about 600 miles on my bike. The tires have no tread to speak of and I'm concerned a sharp piece of stone will penetrate the tire at some point. That happened on my hybrid with aggressive tread right through the thickest part of the tire.
So I'm curious, is there a better tire for this bike, one that has more of a tread, or one that is more puncture resistant?

I like the Schwalbe Marothon (sp) myself, they come in those sizes.

Any idea of where I would be able to find or look at this tire?

You can find the 20" studded tire at Calhoun Cycle in Minneapolis. He does mail order, check out his site:

They might not be displayed on his site but you can call.

(slightly off topic_)
I got a flat today riding on street and curbs , etc...
this was with 35psi or whatever
so, how are (or are there) 80psi?
I thought I saw some 80 psi on Robert E. Lee DK BMX
What are the standard tire pressures for different bikes?

The Kenda Kwest tires I have are 100 psi max. Other bent tires I've seen only take 65 psi.

Tuff Strip

I just bought a Rans Stratus, with Comet Premio tires. Today, after a 27 mile ride, I found that I had a flat from a glass puncture. I repaired it, and installed a Tuff Strip inside the tire. We'll see if that helps.

You might try the Specialized Armadillo line of tires. They list one for the front that has a pressure range of 35-100 psi. The 26X1.50 model for the rear doesn't list the pressure rating. Armadillos are supposed to be extremelytough. I use them on my road bike commuter.
