Recumbent What IS that thing?! Recumbents may be odd looking, but they have many advantages over a "wedgie" bicycle. Discuss the in's and out's recumbent lifestyle in the recumbent forum.

I too have new knees, as of June 4, 2001. I've been riding a EZ3 trike. I love it. It's not hard to start out and with the 21 speeds, I have not had any problems with my knees. I do have problems when I try to go for walks, that's why I opted instead to ride a trike....the EZ3 is reasonable in price and is a pleasure to ride.

Get the EZ3 trike. I have one and I also have artificial knees. I don't have any problem starting out, because of the 21 speeds. I sure beats walking. In five weeks I have almost 300 miles on it.

Many thanks for your reply. I tried to ride my Schwinn "World
Tour" 10 speed I bought many years ago and I'll have to agree
with my doctor...."GET A TRIKE" So as soon as I'm able a
trike it WILL be.

[QUOTE=beatle bailey]sorry about the double replies, but I'm just trying to get this forum figured out.[

"Usually" the forum itself will prevent double posting by not allowing two posts within a few minutes.
I have found that on occasion the forum will apparently be so active or in maintenance mode and be
very slow to respond which is the most likely reason for double post: you click submit and nothing
happens so it gets clicked again. If this occurs outside the acceptance refusal window, you get a
double post. Steve
