Recumbent What IS that thing?! Recumbents may be odd looking, but they have many advantages over a "wedgie" bicycle. Discuss the in's and out's recumbent lifestyle in the recumbent forum.

The JaVaLaVa ride

I lead a recumbent-oriented ride here in Vancouver, Washington every couple months. A week ago we had some real nice weather and some new folks joined us. Jeff & Michelle ride a tandem Screamer and were taking pictures as we went along. Have a look: http://www.tandemride.com/javalava.htm

Ian (riding his Quest velomobile) commented later that this was a typical recumbent ride: riding time 2 hours 50 minutes... stopped time 2 hours 30 minutes. A good balance between movin' on and standing around yacking.
