Recumbent What IS that thing?! Recumbents may be odd looking, but they have many advantages over a "wedgie" bicycle. Discuss the in's and out's recumbent lifestyle in the recumbent forum.

Tag A Long Bike to SWB or LWB

Has anyone tried to attach a Burley Piccilo or Kazoo to a SWB or LWB bent? I was wondering if the bent was would be sitting too far down for the bike to work. Looks like it might work with the Giro 26 or other High Racer. Just wanting to know.

FYI-I searched over at BROL and found that is could be done. Burley's Moose Rack has to be secured to the frame solid, but then its smooth sailing.

Did you do this and if so, how did it work out & what did you attach it to?

I haven't done it yet. My plans is to get the Burley Tag A Long. Its Moose Rack is a great link to the bike. Its not as "swayee" as the cheaper versions. I have a Schwinn TAL and it just about throws me to the ground with the Young Prince aka One Who Likes to Fling Thou's Weight Around While Being Towed By The One Who Pays The Bills.

I planned on hooking it up to My Giro 20 but......Oldest Princess rode my Giro tonight and is claiming it as her own! I have two months to get it set up for her and me another bent! Damn, now I have to look for a Giro 26 or the new Bella ATT, or find a RANS Rocket, or F5!

I'm just waiting on the cash flow of OT to start back up!

No problem

Height is not an issue because it attaches as a rear rack. You just attach the lower section via the holes that are on the back end for mounting racks or fenders and find something to attach the upper attachment to such as the seat struts. Worked on a Tailwind with no problem and should work as well or better on a bike with 26" rear wheel. My daughter has outgrown her Piccolo though (over the weight limit) so I'm getting rid of ours. The hard part is the years between when a TAB is usable and when they can keep up on long rides.

I overcame that in-between period with a Tandem. It might be worth looking into.

I very good suggestion. I would give my car to have The Young Prince with me on the rides.

We looked at Sun's at the LBS and think its possible in two years.
