    New Chain

I have a Challenge Hurricane and I need a new 9 speed chain. Are the multi speed chains from Wal Mart ok to use.

I can't say for sure, but probably not. The stuff at WallyWorld is probably 6/7/8 speed chain, which is too wide for the spacing on a 9-speed cassette.

I know, quite being cheap. I will go to LBS and buy some Scram chains with power links. Fix it right the first time, right.

And Hostel Shoppe carries 'bent length SRAM chains for less than the cost of 3 df chains.
