My New Volae Century

Friends,

I would like to share my first bent with you. Purchased from Rick at Gold Country Cyclery near Sacramento.

I picked it up last Saturday, four days ago, and I am having a great time. I am really loving riding this machine. Jesse

I have added some accesories that work well for me:

Dual Mirrcycle mirrors
Cateye Strada with cadence
Speedplay Frogs pedals.. what I have used for years
Detours Goodie Too bag for easily reaching snacks
Dual water bottle cages.. I will also use a Unbottle behind the seat on longer rides
Incredibell Bell
Mountain Man rear rack
Norback Frame pack from Hostel Shoppe
Kickstand from Hostel Shoppe

That looks really nice. If I get another life, I think I'll get one.
The chain doesn't rub on that frame pack?

I have the under seat pack slightly displaced from centerline so it is not near the chain

Nice bike! I went up to the Hostel Shoppe on Monday and picked up a 2008 Volae Club. After riding it for 100+ miles I can say it is the nicest, fastest bike I have ever owned.

Here is another version of the video, this one on youtube

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUQ8NQsmVkQ

youtube would not allow the Canned Heat soundtrack, but the video clip runs smoother

the music is one the generic tracks youtube makes available when you upload a video

turn those speakers on

I will post some images of my camera setup later today..I have come up with a very sweet solutiion

Jesse

That is one very sweet ride. I see you've also got the "T" mount up on the deraileur mast. I use a Volae Tour (vintage 2005) as a commuter and "Around town" bike and I love it. I bought mine used a little over 12 months ago and I've often imagined that I would have gotten the Century had I bought new. I'm toying with the idea of building a lightweight tailbox for it but I'm not certain yet if I will.

Great video too.

Enjoy the bike!!
